Oz Korean BBQ – Part 3

2605 Riparian Dr
Elk Grove, CA 95757

Rating: ★★★★½

With gift card in hand, we decided to try out Oz’s new location in Elk Grove. At the time of the review, Oz was only serving the all you can eat menu (plus desserts) without a full menu. This was not a problem for us since we were planning for all you can eat anyways. This location is extremely hard to find and is hidden behind other buildings and a gas station. There is no high or bright signage pointing you to the restaurant. Also, when you get to the door, there is no sign there to tell you to go into the dark building. When we arrived, we were quickly seated in the large, high ceiling restaurant. The server quickly took our drink order before allowing us time to decide on what to order.

We were served a decent amount of banchan (side dishes), which tasted pretty good. Just like the Bradshaw location, you are allowed 4 dishes at a time. In total, today we tried out the pot stickers, young’s sweet chili wings, galbi, sesame beef, bul-go-gi, sweet pork, chili pork, soy garlic sam-gyup-sal, and garlic shrimp. Overall, all the meat dishes tasted really good and had been marinated well. The round grill did seem to get charred pretty quick, but we were pretty full by the time the grill got too charred.

Overall, the food tasted really good and if you don’t mind cooking your own food, then Oz is the place to go. As of today, weekend pricing F-Su is $20.99 per adult and $10.99 per child 4-10yrs, and weekday pricing M-Th is $19.99 per adult and $10.99 per child. There were not too many people there for lunch on Saturday, but I can also assume that this location would not be as busy at the Bradshaw location at night. If you are craving some Korean BBQ and didn’t want to wait so long to get a table, then you might want to try out this location.
