Fuji Sushi Buffet

I tend not to visit buffets very often. The value is not really there unless you eat more than 2 plates. However, sushi buffets do differ since their plates are so small. This sushi buffet has the sushi boats carrying various types of small rolls. You can also order more exotic rolls directly from the chefs. What’s nice is that you can order as much as you want! Just make sure you can finish what you get so that they don’t get mad at you.

Today we started by grabbing some simple California Rolls from the boats. You really can’t go wrong with them. Afterwards, I quickly placed in some orders for a large plate of Shrimp Tempura and a plate of Grilled Salmon. The grilled salmon tasted fantastic! Shrimp tempura always tastes good, but I think I over ordered this time. Near one corner of the boats, I saw a Dragon Roll laying around, so I couldn’t let that go to waste. Today, I didn’t feel like putting any more orders in, so I ended up checking out the “Chinese Food” section of the buffet. I tend not to like the Chinese food offered at sushi buffets, and this was no exception. The fried rice was good, but everything else was sub-par. Sushi tasted good, but the grilled salmon tasted better.

Service-wise, we were greeted as we entered. Beverages were provided in a timely manner, followed by timed refills. They do charge for drinks other than water! I feel the value is there, but I still don’t feel I will ever eat enough to make Fuji really worth it.

Overall, Fuji will continue to be a location that I visit for a quick sushi fix, but I would still prefer Arigato Sushi instead for a tastier sushi experience.
